Hebbian learning
Hebbian learning就是以Hebb命名的一种学习,其实就是神经可塑性的一种体现,其核心思想就是“neurons that fire together wire together”。
Hebbian learning
In his book The Organization of Behaviour, Hebb postulated: ‘When an axon of cell A is near enough to excite cell B or repeatedly or consistently takes part in firing it, some growth or metabolic change takes place, such that A’s efficiency, as one of the cells firing B, is increased’. Put in simpler words: ‘neurons that fire together wire together’. Modern neuroscience now strongly supports his intuition. Markram et al. recorded from two connected cortical pyramidal neurons and noted that if the presynaptic action potential occurred 10 ms before, or during, the postsynaptic one, the efficacy of the synapse increased and that this was a lasting change. This form of synaptic plasticity has been termed ‘Hebbian learning’. Importantly, Hebbian learning has also been observed in inhibitory GABAergic synapses.
